I am Itzia, full owner of BreezyyJewels. The brand started in March 2020, when I was tired of working for others and decided to follow my love for jewelry. Along with owning a business, I am enrolled at Maryville University pursuing a Bachelors in Business Administration with a minor in Marketing! I am truly excited to see BreezyyJewels grow into a brand that will be everyones go to one day because our goal is to make everyone feel more special one jewelry piece at a time!!
BreezyyJewels was started because my love for jewelry, after working at a former jewelry store and not finding jewelry pieces that I was in love with while working there. After a couple months of research, I decided to fully open and build a brand revolving around items I love but I also items that were out of my comfort zone or style but people are in love with.
Finding the correct target audience. It is so hard to find your audience as a small business especially with a business in the jewelry/fashion industry, which is growing and changing every month.I have learned to not let myself down when the engagement is off, I just learn from it and retry the next day, we have to learn that the intent we put out is not always going to be for someone; what matters is that we don't give up and continue to try the very next post.
At BreezyyJewels, I have seen plenty of growth starting from CEO growth, jewelry quality, and following and engagement growth through social medias. The growth was driven by the fact that after the launch I never gave up, and I saw the potential there was in the small business community. The Jewelry Quality increased because I wanted the best for my costumers, especially after receiving feedback from everyone.
Remember to constantly post on every social media, but remember don't sell to your customers 100% of the time because they do get annoyed and unfollow you. Engage and show your true self, show them behind the scenes because they love being part of everything!
BreezyyJewels is a Latina Minority Owned Business which that itself sets us apart from any other big jewelry business. Whenever you support no matter in which way we truly appreciate you and notice every single person. We care and worry about your jewelry needs making sure we bring the best quality.
My biggest influence in starting my own business would be my mom. She supported my "crazy" decision at the start and still continues to support me, she recently started following her passion for photography and it reminds me that it's never to late to start doing what you love. She also has taught me to not give up when it was a slow month or when things went downhill, because everything that happens it is for a reason and it's only building us for the future.
The advice I would give someone who is just starting would be to not rush the process. Rushing your opening, your first launch etc. tends to set us back down the road because we didn't take the time to perfect everything to the best we could. I beg that you please take advantage of all the resources available to you online or in person because it helps understand steps about growing a business.
The future has plenty of opportunities in store for us! From opening a pop up location to exciting new jewelry drops! Make sure to follow us on social media to check out what our in store experience will be like in October 2021.
That's all for this week's edition of The New Yak Times! And a huge thank you to Itzia of BreezyyJewels for sharing her story and tips. Tune in next week and subscribe below!
